Bibi Momin Azim Sahiba

In view of the extraordinary interest of people, we continue the series on the family background of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) of Mauritius. In the first part in the series, published here at the Sahih Al Islam Blog on October 24, 2011, we have featured an account about the life of the father of the Khalifatullah Marhoom Hadhrat Solim Azim Sahib. This second part contains an extract from a recent book providing an account about the life of the respected mother of the Khalifatullah- Bibi Momin Azim Sahiba.

Bibi Momin Azim (the eldest daughter of Hazrat Isoop Sahib and Madina Sahiba), the mother of the Khalifatullah Munir Ahmad Azim (aba) who is presently 83 years old, by the grace of Allah is a pious lady very much attached to Allah. She is frequently recipient of true dreams; such dreams which foretell of events to come. She also very often sees angels of Allah showing and telling her the glorious status to which Allah has elevated her beloved son, Munir Ahmad Azim. Her duas are very often accepted by Allah to such a point that whenever she prays for someone, Allah relieves that person, and whenever she is angry with someone (who is not conforming to the teachings of Islam), then Allah also does not delay in giving punishment in the aftermath of her warning.

Her father Hazrat Isoop Sahib was among the very first Muslims in Mauritius who accepted the claim of Hazrat Massih Maoud Mirza Ghulam Ahmad (as). He was actually very fervent in disseminating the message of Islam Ahmadiyyat to others, being one of the most ardent Dai-Illallah. He was renowned for his piety and excellent Quran reading. Despite his modest means, he used to walk miles so as to succeed in giving the message of the Promised Messiah to other Muslims and other people. He along with his two other brothers Soubhan and Roshan Aullybux were among the first to embrace the claim of the Promised Messiah (as) in Mauritius. 

Due to accepting Islam Ahmadiyyat, the three brothers faced countless persecutions and social boycotts from their Sunni Muslim families and the Jamaat they once belonged. Despite all these blows, they stayed firm in the Jamaat Ahmadiyya and became the light bearers of the news of the coming of the Promised Messiah (as).

His daughter Hazrat Momin Azim Sahiba relates that once, her father was doing Dawa with someone (at about 3 O’clock in the afternoon) and he became so involved, so engrossed in his Dawa that their discussion finished at pass midnight. Having no means of transport, he had to walk miles before reaching home!

THE KHALIFATULLAH’S BIRTH

The life of a Man of God is never easy. He has to undergo so much trial but at the end of the day, he is the one victorious. This victory comes definitely from that of his Lord, Allah (Glory be to Him) who commissioned him to the status of Messenger of God.

The life of Munir Ahmad Azim is no different. His birth on earth had an ulterior goal, but who knew that except his Lord? He came into the world on a Saturday 07 January 1961 (19 Rajab 1380 A.H). It is also no coincidence that:

·         Saturday        = 7^th day of the week

·         Rajab  = 7^th month of the Islamic year.

The late brother and disciple of the Messenger and Caliph of Allah, Mahroom Hazrat Azize Ahmad Azim reported that upon his birth, it was the Missionary Mawlana Ismael Munir who came to read the Adhan and Iqaamah in his ears and gave him his name: Munir. Moreover, he narrated that after naming the child on this special day, Mawlana Ismael Munir stated: “This child will one day become a great man.”
