New Bai’ats in Kerala: A Report

On Sunday, September 22, 2013 Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Kerala (India) organized a special Tarbiyat & New Bai’at Programme at the historic Noor’ul Islam Masjid, Mathra.

The Programme began with the First Session at 10.45 a.m. (IST). On Chair was the respected Amir of the Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam, Kerala, Janab R. Jamal-ud-Din Sahib. Zulfiqar Ali Sahib, Kaliyikkavila offered Tilawat-Ul-Qur’an

Welcome Address was delivered by Janab Saleem Sahib, Alappuzha (Treasurer, JUSAI, Kerala).

In his inaugural address, the Amir Sahib explained at length, the Special Message/Address of the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius. Three brothers from Kaliyikkavila-  Zulfiqar Ali Sahib, Sadiq Ali Sahib and Azim Ahmad Sahib-who joined and integrated with the Jamaat in August 2013, shared their spiritual journey and the Bai’at Experience, including the trials and challenges they have endured from their Ahmadi  relatives and the community in general.

At 12. 45 pm, Namaz-e-Dhuhr was offered collectively by all the participants. After the Namaz, lunch was served for everyone present.

At 2.15 pm, participants assembled at the Masjid again after lunch and rest. The Amir Sahib in his speech underscored the significance of Bai’at and the need for conscious striving and real sacrifices for the growth and sustenance of spirituality, both at individual and collective levels. Drawing upon the Qur’anic revelations and the sacred traditions of the Holy Prophet (sa) and the additional explanations on offer in our times from the Khalifatullah Hadhrat Munir Ahmad Azim Sahib (atba) of Mauritius, the Amir Sahib explained to the members the critical importance of financial sacrifice and Zakat contributions, to further the desired community objectives and urgent tasks.

After the sermon of the Amir Sahib, Muhammad Zabir Sahib (32 years), a truth-seeker who came all the way from the North-east border town of Palakkad, and his wife Mubeena Sahiba (30 years) and their daughter Arshana (9 years) integrated themselves with the Khalifatullah (atba) and Jamaat Ul Sahih Al Islam. The Amir Sahib administered the formal Bai’at ceremony. Alhamdulillah.

Abdul Sudheer Sahib of Saudi Arabia (34 years), who originally hails from Kaliyikkavila, also informed through a formal letter (in his native Tamil language addressed to the Amir Sahib), his desire to integrate with the Jamaat and to work for the Divine Mission of the Khalifatullah (atba) in this age. Pending formal Bai’at (at the hands of the Khalifatullah) when he is in India, he has expressed the intention to be a part of the Jamaat as from today onwards, Insha Allah.

After the Bai’at, Special Thanksgiving Duah was offered by all.  Formal vote of thanks for those who travelled all the way across the state to participate in it, and took special efforts to conduct the programme smoothly was offered by DA Zainul Abdeen Sahib, Mathra.

After the Tarbiyyat and New Bai’at Programme ended, five of the brothers- Saleem Sahib, Zulfiqar Ali Sahib, Sadiq Ali Sahib, Azim Ahmad Sahib and Muhammad Zabir Sahib went on a Tabligh mission to meet with some of the Ahmadi families in Mathra. While some Ahmadis did not reciprocate and respond to the greetings of ‘Salam’, all of them accepted the publications/leaflets/ notices informing about the Divine Message of our times.

All members left the Masjid with an intuitive conviction that Allah’s pleasure and quiet nurturing is at hand to sustain this small band of believers in this age, Alhamdulillah.
